Okay its been pretty chill these past 2 years. I've been busy with school and just got a new computer. Since 2009, my older sister and Twin brother moved in with Mika and I. Its a blast. Late nights talking stories, eating out, hanging out away from the house and watching TONS of movies. So as you can tell I've been very busy. So many cool things happened to me. I got a new dslr camera and I've been taking pictures like crazy!?! Now I'm at that stage where I'm trying to make photography more serious yet fun in order for myself to develop my talent to the best of my knowledge. I'm happy that I'm learning and growing in photography. My teachers and friends has helped me along the way and I very grateful because of that. Now its off to broaden my knowledge and continue to develop my true creative identity. <3 ya!!

A Blessing to start off the New Year!

To start off the New Year I had the privilege in receiving a Special Blessing by Maikeli Wolfgramm. Just being in the downstairs room at Kat's house with Maikeli, Mika, Shane, Mark, Rudy, Haini, Ray, Stevie & Jason filled my heart with the peace, joy, love, happiness, but most importantly the Spirit of the Lord. How great of a blessing to be performed by my Father-in-Law and having 8 wonderful Priesthood holders being there for a time of spiritual comfort.

As Maikeli began to speak, the Spirit was extremely strong that he was a bit emotional speaking the words which he had felt at that moment. As he continue with the blessing, he had mention something that will touch my heart forever, he said "I'm prompted by the spirit to give you a Special Blessing. A blessing to give unto you to enjoy the blessings of being a Mother, which you will bring children in this life to prepare for the 2ND coming..." For a moment there I just couldn't believe my ears. It was so beyond what I could imagine to hear in a blessing. Well I'm sort of used to hearing talk about spiritual stuff and all, but to make it more direct and personal to me by the spirit, that was totally awesome. The blessing continued on with such touching and uplifting words of encouragement that comforted my soul and my heart in every way. My tears streaming down my face like a broken sink faucet, nose runny, my body quivering with joy and my head felt so heavy that it was going to fall off...but hey it was worth every moment regardless what was going on with me at that time. No matter what life may put in front of me, as long as I'm trying to do well and life my life right, I'll do all that I can to stay as close as I can with the Lord so that I may enjoy my life more but more importantly my life to come. Asked for a blessing when you feel the need to have one.

I had a fun week with my 5 girls...

This past Thanksgiving weekend was a fun and enjoyable time with my 5 nieces, Olimpia, Anessa, Nadira, Alema & Anzehla. Ice blocking was the most exciting and tiring activity we've done. Going down a a steep hill and climbing back up was exhausting. Fun but tiring. Seeing their faces with excitement and fun just lighten my evening and my whole weekend. Doing painting projects, Scripture Jeopardy, American Idol, spin the bottle, "Are you smarter than a 5Th grader and many other games and activities was just sooo fun. I'm glad to have spent my Thanksgiving with them and with Etivise and Mika. How often have each of us spend quality time with the ones we love and the ones that we know but don't know that much. I know for a fact that this Girls Night Out had a big impact on my sister-in-law, Vise. She would tell me how she enjoyed talking to the girls and seeing their individual personality throughout our activities. To me I want each of us who loves and cherish their relationship's with their families or friends, to make an effort to spend more time with them, get to know them more better than you think you did. Trust me it would go along way. May my 7 nieces that came that night have a wonderful life and treasure the moments and memories that will guide and help you along the way.

It that time of year that I totally hate...sick season! Yup for the next few months, which is the Winter months...I get sick easily. Ever since I was little I would get sick when the weather would change. It's kind of wired but hey that's just me. So right now I'm trying my best to stay in good health but the Sick bug always finds it's way to me...I soo hate that! So I hope that I'll get better soon...it's making me too lazy!

It was sad news to hear that the Tupuola's beloved dog Proverb died on October 28. She was a good and loving dog towards the family. I'll miss her running through the door and greeting Mika and I in the drive way. It's sad to know that she's gone, but I also know that she's with our Heavenly Father safe and sound. We love you Proverb and you'll be missed!!!

Family Search Indexing...helping the world locate their ancestors online!!!!

For the past month I've been doing a helpful cause for the world. Thanks to the Church, I was able to provide information for everyone who is looking for more information about their family through the Internet on the LDS.org website. The cool thing about this is that you download the program(which is free) and take the image and type in all the info. on a chart and upload it when you're done. This helps the church by taking all copied images from the Church Historic/Genealogical storage unit info. put in their system and have volunteers(like myself) to do the work. This can also help families around the world to do their Temple and Genealogy work for the dead. It's pretty interesting to read the different styles of writing and read the names...talk about funky. Doing the work through indexing helped me allot in finding more options for me in finding my family names and to help others who are searching for the right information. I wanted to share that with you all and I hope we all do a little something for those afar and who past.

96. I had my first kiss when I was in Kindergarten in Oakland, California by a boy name Arther James(he was African American)

95. I don't like the color Pink...too girlie for me!!!

94. When I lived in Virginia, at church an old guy(who was blind) thought that I was his wife and asked me if I could help him change his diaper! I kindly told him I wasn't his wife, and I could help him find her. He was a bit embarrassed, but then he told me that he'll be alright. (I felt pretty bad for him)

93. I learned how to cook when I was 5 years old (Baked Chicken and Rice)

92. I stole a tootsie roll candy from the store when I was 6. Bad me...but don't worry I remember I told my mom about it and we both prayed and ask the Lord for forgiveness!

91. I thought that I would marry a White guy with Jet Black hair and with Green eyes...

89. I don't know how to read music that well, but I could play on the piano by ear.

87. I used to smoke from the age of 14 to 20...it was off and on, but I actually quite after 2 years of being married to Mika...shhhh don't tell, Mika! Nah it's OK, cause I know he's gonna read it anyways.

86. I use to see spirits...it started at the age of 9 til this past May. Since I've gone into the Temple I could only see some of them here and there in the Celestial room but no longer can see them outside the Temple walls. But I could feel them still around me. ooh spooky!!!

85. I love Strawberry short cake ice cream bar...yum yum my favorite!!

84. When I was in the 3rd grade, I fought 3 boys (one my age, the 2nd was a year older and the 3rd boy was in the 5Th grade) and beat them all up. I send one of the to the hospital, after that happened I heard that he was in a Coma because I slammed his head multiple times on a drinking fountain pipe...sorry so graphic...but it's true. I was trying to protect my brother and sister from those dumb bullies!!

83. I dislike "know it alls"!!

82. Lived on my own when I was 14 years old for 2 1/2 years.

81. I graduated with Honors, Suma Cum Laude...I believe that's when you have a GPA of 3.8 and up

63. I saw two males shot to death when I was 7. It was in Oakland, California. I was sleeping over a friends house and we heard gun shots and ran to her back yard and saw the shooting. It was very scary.

61. I can't eat sea food...or I'll break out in hives or my throat will swell up...

60. I'm allergic to Bees and fury animals.

16. I've always wanted to be an actress...I had a scholarship to go to a high class college in California, but as you all know I didn't go and I got married instead. Oh well there goes my dreams...lol!

14. I stabbed my self on my right leg with a pencil when I was 9. I was having to much fun playing with a sharp #2 pencil during class. Talk about dumb!

I love the Gospel for being my one true foundation and I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for creating me both Spiritually and Physically to have the opportunity to live in this dispensation and to be his instrument in whatever may come of me to do. But most importantly, for the sacrifice that Jesus done, in order for me to return back to them one day.

This was the most funest thing for me to do in a long time. Hopefully I could continue on greater and happier things in my life than the bad. My life would only be a mystery to everyone, if they don't take the time to know me for me.

For all those who read the book "The Great Gathering" by Chad Daybell last year and enjoyed it. Today is your lucky day, the 2ND book "The Celestial City" is now in stores now. Mika and I bought it yesterday and finally finished it about 2 hours ago. Talk about a crazy yet cool adventure. I don't want to tell you anymore, only for you to either borrow it from either Mika and I or you can buy your own copy. But we recommend you to read it. Food Storage....

OK I'm a total sucker for buying things for lesser price...and this week has been awesome. All my life my mom, pops, family and friends would always tell me, "Jay, you should start on your food storage and you should use coupons to save!" And sometimes this is my response, "Okay!?!, I'll try, but I'll see how much money I have to buy whatever on sale!?!". Well I grew up on using coupons on a daily basis. I'll sometimes use it to get something for free at Smith's or Albertson's. I'm not a major coupon user, unless I'm for it with good stuff, but recently it changed my way of thinking. So I got this call from my Sis-in-Law, KAT. And she told me about the best way to save money is to use coupons and to check out this web page on Bebo. So it sounded pretty good to me. I checked out the site, while my mental half of a husband talked to Kat and was like totally FOR IT!! We tried it out, got some coupons and saved allot of money. What an eye opener!! I'm grateful that the Lord open the way for me and my Hubby to save more money on food, cleaning stuff, bathroom stuff and more. I knew there was great opportunities out there and I just didn't care until I realized how times are starting to get more harder than before. I know that this opportunity was a prayer answer by the Lord, and I'm grateful to have awesome spirits like Kat, Lei, Mike, my Mom, and many family and friends to help Mika and I when we need that extra boost. Thank you all and I hope all of you start on your FAMILY FOOD STORAGE and 72hr. Kit. You may never know when something tragic might occur in your neck of the woods!!

No one in this interesting world is perfect or close to being perfect. We can all say, I'm closer to the Lord than you are or I do work for the people and so forth. But is that the right way to show our "True" love and dedication to those we know. By saying or doing things that may either hurt or kill relationships isn't the right way in letting them learn and grow for themselves. We can only do whats right in our lives for others to take in what may help them. Forcing and dictating other lives won't make us better, it would only lead to failer. We may all just pretend that nothing fase them when hard or easy problems come to them...we need to think smart before saying or making things more or less of a problem. Stay true, stay real to yourselves. There's nothing worst than to "act" or "fake" your way through life. Trust me I've seen to many in my days. I hope many of you "stay real" in all that you do.

Over coming....the fear of another

Have you been in a situation so bad that you don't know how to get out? Have you ever feared for your life because of something that happened? Have you ever thought about giving up on life because you either can't handle it or it's just too difficult to bare? How far will you go to do something about it? It's never too late to find help. I know how it feels to be in a hard and terrifying situation. My childhood has made the biggest impact on my life, because of what I have witness and what I've experienced. Coming from a single parent household, fear wasn't an option to run away from when trouble hits, only each other. I couldn't bare to see my mother get beat by my biological father. Day and night was the same routine, he would come home from military duty, boss me and my siblings around like we were garbage. Demand my mom to prepare him food when he calls for it, drink 5 cases of beer while watching his kung-fu movies, have his drunken friends pop in and out like lice, just to have a drink. Next he would beat on my mom, when she didn't do anything wrong, just to show off to his military buddies that he's the man and that he's strong. Laughter would be roaring through the house and at the same time cries from frighten children will be soaring because what they are seeing been done to their mother. Blood, tears, anger, pain, and a hard fist was streaming all over my mothers helpless body. No one would stop my father as he continues to beat her over and over again. Dragging her body through the back door and suddenly throwing her into the kiddie pool. Pushing her head down as if she doesn't need to breath. Yelling and screaming to her wet head telling her that she's nothing, in hoping that she would talk back to him so he could beat on her some more. Then the fun for my so called father's friends began to cease. Fear, rage, arguments, fights was all around me. I couldn't do anything, I was only 5 years old. For a moment there I thought my mom was dead, but I soon saw my mom slowly popped her head up as my older sister came to her rescue. With a scared and shaky voice coming from my mom as she rushed towards my sister to protect her, she silently whisper into my sisters ears and said "it's OK, mommy will be alright. Please don't cry, I'll be alright my love." Right there was a moment I will never forget. Each day I pray that we will be out of this hellish hole we called "home". When that day came, my mom was full of joy, not only to be out of a abusive relationship, just the joy of having her little family safe from harm. Fear is the way of the devil. He only wants you to be damn in misery because he doesn't want anyone to be happy. By my mothers faith and strength to move on, was the best thing that could ever happen for me and my family. Faith is the way and truth is the light. No matter what may happen in our lives or what has already happened that is bad, we need to turn to the Lord each day for guidance and protection. And he will be there for you each step of the way. I believe that through faith, anything is possible. I am a sure witness of faith, because of my mom. And because of her faith, I'm here living my life through faith and happiness with my eternal companion, Mika. I do love my father, no matter what has happened in the past. The lord gave us a commandment to "Forgive" one another. And by that I shall continue to be strong and close to the Gospel.

For the past few months has brought great sorrow for someone I truly care and dearly love. My beloved mom. She has been my biggest supporter and my best friend. Then all of a sudden something bad happened to her...she had a broken heart. Life couldn't have been any harder for her to deal with in her tight situation. Helping and caring for others was her joy everyday. She cared and love her family and would do anything for them. But as time gone by and health started to creep badly onto her...she continue strongly in doing what makes her happy, Service. Never in my life had I experience my mom being mean or harsh towards anyone(unless you messed with her kids, then that's another story)when I was growing up. Her heart was the size of the world. Giving all that she can for those who don't have much. We also didn't had much in our lives, but we were spoiled with her ultimate LOVE. That's what I know about my mom. It was about 2 weeks ago I had an urge to call my mom in Hawaii. I just got home from the Salt Lake Temple. I felt there was something wrong, so I called my mom to check and see if everything was OK. The soft and weakness of her voice was disturbing. She's been strongly ill for the past 2 months and she had no help from anyone. As she continue to talk to me, she told me that she was angry with all sorts of personal issues and she wanted nothing from anyone, not even any sympathy. Depression, anger, hatred, fear, anxiety and frustration was with my mom that night. So for myself I listened and let her vent, because I knew right there and then that she needed to talk to someone. I then slowly turned the tables and made her worst day into a happy one. I really didn't do much, but listen. For once in her life she had someone listen to her every need. Soon after that conversation, we ended with her telling me how much she miss being with her children and that she's grateful and happy that I called her. Everyday for the past 3 weeks I would call her every morning to check on her, which would make her day. With the little act of kindness will go along way. I'm grateful of the Holy Spirit in prompting me to call my mom who needed someone to talk to. Listen always with the spirit and it will guide you to what the Lord wants you to see, to hear, to live and to accomplish.

Do you remember when you had your first real conversation with someone you really liked? Do you remember when you had your first fancy meal with that special someone or a few of your close friends? Do you remember your first concert? Do you remember the first music album you bought? Do you remember your childhood friend? Do you remember the first time you bought yourself a new pair of shoes or clothes(without your parents consent)? Do you remember saying your first swear word to someone? Do you remember the first time you were rebellious to your parents? Do you remember your first kiss? Do yo remember your first boyfriend/girlfriend? Do you remember when you got married? Do you remember when your first(or all) of your children were born? Do you remember your first real argument? Do you remember the first prayer you gave? Do you remember when you were baptized? Do you remember the feeling you had that special day? Do you remember when you received the Holy Ghost? Do you remember the first time you enter into the Temple? Do you remember when God was with you everyday of you life? These are some questions that we may forget, want to forget or we can't forget. Life is hard when bad things come in and out of our lives, I know I had many. But we just need to sit down for one minute or so and just remember the GOOD things in our lives, to help ourselves to be more closer to each other and especially with the LORD. How often do we remember him in our busy lives? For some it's not often, but there are some who try to keep the Lord with them at all times. We aren't perfect, but we can always try! Remember HIM often in all that you do, and he will ALWAYS remember YOU to!

OK...for many of you out there who knows me enough...I really don't like writing any blogs, but this I must write about...it's about "There for Tomorrow". Yep, the band that's all over my blog like a virus or something. Well I'm on their street team and they needed people to help and promote their show across the county. So I told my friend Katie that I would love to help them out....so, this is where all of you that reads this come in. Today wasn't a good day for me. Well neither for my hubby Mika. So much stuff happens in our lives because there are purposes for it to happen. I don't like it one bit! But I'm trying to keep my cool for both Mika and I. Early this morning I knew something bad was going to happen to our so-called "new car". Every time it starts there is something inside that is causing the engine to pull more work when it should. Some censor or whatever it's called was bad, and so the mechanics fixed it, or so they thought. It still stops at every friggin' stop light or whenever it dies. Then my poor hubby went to Checkers Auto and bought a carburetor cleaner to clear out the exhaust. That didn't help either. Oh the irritation we both felt about our car. That was one of the problems, then it still kept on braking down while we were driving. AAAHHHHHHH!!!! This is sooo annoying! Don't get me wrong, I love it that we have a car, it's just so many problems and too much money going into this car that it's making us dead broke. Hey I guess it's one of those issues that we all have to face sooner or later in our life time. I just hope we get it all fixed before winter, or something ever worst might happen to either Mika or myself. Well as long as I have faith and continue to asked for humble guidance from the Lord, I know our beloved "new car" will be fixed! And that's my irritation for today!

Doing the work for your love ones...who past on

This week has been the most glorious time of my life. I had the greatest pleasure in doing the work for my beloved grandmother, Ailafo Elu in the temple. Oh how I felt her spirit so strong with me through her baptism, conformation and initiatory. Tears was running through my face, happiness and joy was over whelming my body. It was unbelievable. All the missionary sisters were so happy for me and they comfort me through each spiritual task I was doing for my grandmother. I would never change this experience for anything! Now I'm trying to get her endowments done next week so I'll be able to finally seal my grandparents for all time and eternity. This is what I'm more excited to do. I'm just grateful to have every opportunity in doing the work for my grandmother and her parents, parents and so forth. It's a wonderful experience and feeling each time I accomplish a spiritual task. I'm so excited to go to the Family History Center in the morning to find more names and print out cards to start doing more family names and their work. May we all have the spirit of Elijah and do the work for our kindred dead.

Semi-finals for the International Open Amateur Photography Contest

Tonight I was checking my email to see if there's anything good to read...and then I saw an email from Jeff Bryan (Editing Manager for the International Society of Photography). OMG! I was totally nervous to even open it...then I looked at the subject title and it read: "J, your photo was certified as a semi-finalist!". AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!....r u SERIOUS!?! I've been saying that over and over in my head. Next thing you know I hurried and open the email and read the rest of the message. As I continued to read this shocking email, he told me that my photo "Deep in Thought" was selected to be in the finals and that I have a great chance of winning great prizes and I could win the Grand Prize of $1,000 or win the Annual Grand Prize of $10,000. I was amazed. Never in my wildest dreams, could I, a nobody could be in the finals with the big dogs. Boy, this gets more exciting each time I read that email. As I scrolled down to the next paragraph, he said that my photo will be published in their 2008 Anthology series called "Endless Journeys". There's about 250 photos(by random photographers, both nationally and internationally) picked by the selection committee to be in this years edition. How cool is that! My photo actually being published nation wide. COOL!! Oh wait it gets better. Jeff also said that I have a chance of having my photo be published in the New York and L.A Photography Magazines. WOW!!! This is soooooo amazing!...but then again.... I don't want to get to far with my excitement, I just want all those who've been very supportive in what I'm doing that I'm grateful for y'all and hopefully this might start something good for once in my life. Please keep me in your prayers that I maybe able to start something great with the talent the Lord has given me, Photography! :) Let's just say this is only the beginning!
